Vitamin B12

Vitamin B12 – the essential B Vitamin

There are Vitamins and nutrients without which the human body cannot stay healthy, fit and productive. This definitely includes Vitamin B12. As part of the B Vitamin group, Vitamin B12 plays a very special role: In contrast with several other Vitamins, the body cannot make B12 on its own and it must therefore be supplied in the form of food and if needed through supplements. B12 is essential for the body, in other words, we cannot live without it.

Vitamin B12 (Cobalamin) is especially required for the countless metabolic processes that occur in our bodies. Furthermore, it also contributes to the formation of red blood cells and to the normal functioning of the nervous system. The water-soluble Vitamin is exclusively contained in animal-derived foods as it is produced in animals’ intestinal flora with the help of bacteria. Liver is the food with the highest amounts of Vitamin B12, followed directly by eggs and milk. The intake of Vitamin B12 supplements is therefore strongly advised for vegetarians and vegans.

Our Vitamin B12 tablets contain methylcobalamin and adenosylcobalamin — two bioactive forms of Vitamin B12. Methylcobalamin is especially important for the nerves, blood and DNA, whereas adenosylcobalamin contributes immensely to the energy production of our mitochondria, the power generators inside our cells. Our Vitamin B12 tablets also contain a combination of barley fibre, papain, alfalfa and spirulina. These unique nutrients contain saponins and natural enzymes which significantly improve the bioavailability of Vitamin B12. This not only improves the absorption of the Vitamin but also lends a natural form of support to the digestive function.
